Jeff is a six-year member of the board of directors for the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-NCC). He is currently president-elect of the chapter and has served as treasurer (2007-2008), chair of the Professional Development Committee (2004-2006), and member of the Program Committee (2003).
Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and non-profit communications and journalism. As vice-president of communications at the Biotechnology Institute, an Arlington, Va.-based nonprofit organization that promotes biotechnology education, he is responsible for leading the strategic and day-to-day communications initiatives for the organization.
Previously, Jeff was the director of communications for the , where he was responsible for national media outreach campaigns, marketing communications, publications, and grassroots communications.
Prior to joining the nonprofit community, Jeff owned a communications consultancy that served leading corporate, government, and nonprofit clients.
He received a BA in journalism from The in Washington, D.C.
